The Ice Cube model can be said to be the first handle in cut crystal, i.e. obtained from a sheet of technical and super-transparent crystal. In this "play of simplified volumes" typical of the language of Dominique Perrault - thanks also to the collaboration of Gaëlle Lauriot-Prévost - the inspiration comes from a tool such as the clamp used naturally on construction sites to hold different shapes and materials together.
